Wedding in Gore Oklahoma

Deidra and Jimmy were married in Deidra's parent's home in Gore, Oklahoma. This Wedding definitely took a lot of 'behind the scenes' planning on our behalf and a lot of work from the Father of the Bride in preparing the land and house for the Big Day. The Ceremony took place on the property, behind the house. We set up a wrought iron arch and adorned it with natural branches of curly willow and hundreds of blooms in white larkspur and stems of white orchids. The aisle was lined with various sized glass enclosed pillars and freshly pulled rose petals. The aisle markers of choice were our gorgeous crystal adorned candelabras with arrangements of white roses and white hydrangea...resting atop of white stone pedestals. It was gorgeous

For the reception, we served hors d' oeuvres followed by a waiter-served meal. Josh and I had visited the property previously and measured all the rooms from floor to ceiling. We knew this would take some precise planning. We transformed the rooms of the home by covering the walls in ivory chifffon and accenting with uplighting. The photographer for the event was Storybook Weddings from Tulsa, OK and they did a wonderful job, as you can see. Thank you Storybook for sharing your wonderful photos! And, Thank you to Deidre and Jimmy for choosing us be a part of your wedding day!

Brides of North Texas Magazine Launch

I finally got to see the pictures of the Bridal Magazine Launch that I designed in January. The Magazine Launch was for The Brides of North Texas in Big Dallas! The event was held at the 'brand new' NYLO hotel. The hotel was great...very eco-friendly and modern. I loved all the exposed concrete, pipes, duct work and big chunky hardware; even though I am more of a "warm and cozy" type person. When staying in my room, all I kept thinking was..."if Bill Gates were to go to prison, this is what his prison cell would look like." Cold concrete walls, ceiling and floor, no carpet, no pictures but great modern furniture, the best mattress that I have ever slept on and superb service. ha.ha. The mattresses are so great that there are signs on the bed side tables letting you know that you can purchase one. = )
The event attendees were Texas vendors...all in the wedding industry...designers, planners, photographers, etc. NO PRESSURE. ha.ha. Kami and Ashley (Publishers of The Brides of Oklahoma Magazine) wanted a very swanky, elegant yet sassy atmosphere for this very anticipated event. The event went off without a hitch. The staff at the NYLO were great to work with and the guests had a blast!
My favorite item...was the custom "ice shot glasses" that we made. We froze miniature covers of the magazine in them and used them as food serving piece, to be displaced on our "ice wall". Thanks to our good friend Sean with Millennium Ice, everything got there still frozen.= )

All of these design elements are available through Mershons: custom lighting, textured lighting, pintuck linens, chair gowns, Tiffany globes, acrylic boxes, our custom designed "ice wall" for food display, CORT lounge furniture, banquettes and martini bar, acrylic spheres, aluminum planters, 6ft crystal adorned white trees, light boxes and floating chrome sphere and more.
