I finally got to see the pictures of the Bridal Magazine Launch that I designed in January. The Magazine Launch was for The Brides of North Texas in Big Dallas! The event was held at the 'brand new' NYLO hotel. The hotel was great...very eco-friendly and modern. I loved all the exposed concrete, pipes, duct work and big chunky hardware; even though I am more of a "warm and cozy" type person. When staying in my room, all I kept thinking was..."if Bill Gates were to go to prison, this is what his prison cell would look like." Cold concrete walls, ceiling and floor, no carpet, no pictures but great modern furniture, the best mattress that I have ever slept on and superb service. ha.ha. The mattresses are so great that there are signs on the bed side tables letting you know that you can purchase one. = )The event attendees were Texas vendors...all in the wedding industry...designers, planners, photographers, etc. NO PRESSURE. ha.ha. Kami and Ashley (Publishers of The Brides of Oklahoma Magazine) wanted a very swanky, elegant yet sassy atmosphere for this very anticipated event. The event went off without a hitch. The staff at the NYLO were great to work with and the guests had a blast!
My favorite item...was the custom "ice shot glasses" that we made. We froze miniature covers of the magazine in them and used them as food serving piece, to be displaced on our "ice wall". Thanks to our good friend Sean with Millennium Ice, everything got there still frozen.= )
